  • Build high-performing leadership teams with a strong focus on succession planning, internal development and retaining exceptional talent.
  • Coach and develop House senior leaders, ensuring they have the capability, confidence and support to lead their businesses successfully.
  • Create a culture of accountability, ownership and collaboration across the Houses.
  • Partner closely with People & Development to ensure the Houses are appropriately structured, resourced and developed to meet both current and future business needs.
  • Identify high-potential talent and create opportunities for progression across the UK and wider Soho House business.
  • Lead by example and act as a visible ambassador for Soho House culture, values and standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure every House consistently delivers an exceptional member and guest experience in line with Soho House standards.
  • Work closely with House leadership teams to identify opportunities to improve service, operational performance and overall standards.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the day-to-day operation of each House while empowering local leadership teams to take ownership of their businesses.
  • Ensure operational consistency across the portfolio while recognising and protecting the individual identity and character of each House.
  • Regularly review performance, guest and member feedback and operational metrics to identify trends, challenges and opportunities.
  • Support House leadership teams in resolving complex operational issues and making informed decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across all areas of the business.

Commercial & Financial Performance

  • Take overall responsibility for the commercial and financial performance of the houses.
  • Work closely with House General Manager, Finance and senior leadership to deliver budgets, forecasts and business plans.
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve profitability and drive sustainable growth.
  • Challenge performance where necessary and ensure clear action plans are in place to address underperformance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the commercial drivers within each House, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Membership and other revenue streams where applicable.
  • Ensure labour, cost control and productivity are effectively managed while protecting the quality of the member and guest experience.

Member & Guest Experience

  • Ensure the member experience remains at the centre of decision-making across all Houses.
  • Work with Membership, Operations and House leadership teams to understand the needs of the local membership communities.
  • Drive consistently high standards of hospitality, service and product across the Houses.
  • Review feedback and performance trends to identify opportunities to enhance the overall experience.
  • Ensure each House remains relevant to its local community while delivering the Soho House experience and brand standards.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with senior leaders across Operations, Membership, People & Development, Finance, Food & Beverage and other central functions.
  • Act as the key link between House leadership teams and the wider business.
  • Represent the Houses at senior leadership meetings and contribute to wider business discussions and decisions.
  • Work collaboratively across the business to solve problems, remove barriers and deliver shared objectives.

Experience Required...

  • Significant senior operational leadership experience within luxury hospitality, lifestyle, hotels, members' clubs or a similarly complex multi-site business.
  • Proven experience leading multiple locations or a significant regional portfolio.
  • A strong commercial and financial understanding, with experience managing P&Ls, budgets and business performance.
  • An exceptional people leader with a proven ability to build, develop and retain high-performing leadership teams.
  • Someone who can operate strategically while remaining closely connected to the reality of the operation.
  • A strong understanding of luxury hospitality and what it takes to consistently deliver an exceptional guest and member experience.
  • Comfortable managing complex and varied businesses, with the ability to adapt their approach to the needs of individual locations.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships across multiple functions and levels of seniority.
  • Comfortable challenging constructively and holding leaders accountable for performance.
  • A natural problem solver who remains calm and decisive in a fast-paced and changing environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
