Position: Intern, PR & Influencer

Location: Dumbo, Brooklyn (Hybrid: 2-3 days in office per week, based on your schedule and the team’s needs)

Reporting to: Manager, Brand Marketing & Partnerships

Position Type: Intern Hours: 20-25 hours per week

Start Date: Spring 2027, January–June

Compensation: $17.00 per hour

OVERVIEW

This internship offers hands-on experience in influencer marketing, PR strategy, and campaign execution within the beauty industry. As an Influencer & PR Intern at Then I Met You, you will support key initiatives to enhance brand visibility and build authentic relationships with influencers. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting creator relationships, influencer gifting and seeding, talent scouting, campaign tracking, and PR activations while contributing fresh ideas to help grow our community and strengthen brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with a passionate marketing team and contribute to the growth of a dynamic beauty brand.

During the internship program, participants will be paired with a supervisor who will provide them with on-the-job training and projects. The program also incorporates additional learning components focused on professional development, exposure to various functional business areas, and the opportunity to interact with senior executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Influencer Program Support: Manage influencer outreach, assist with packing and shipping mailers, and track content for the evergreen seeding program.
  • Campaign Coordination: Create content briefs for user-generated content (UGC), seeding campaigns, and paid influencer partnerships.
  • Research & Talent Scouting: Research and identify high-quality, emerging and established creators who align with the brand's values, target audience, and campaign objectives. Stay on top of beauty trends and emerging talent to recommend new partnership opportunities.
  • Relationship Management: Assist with influencer communication, ensure partners meet deadlines, review and monitor content, and track campaign performance.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Monitor influencer mentions, creator content, and campaign performance. Maintain accurate trackers and databases, support weekly and monthly reporting, and help identify notable content, trends, and performance insights.
  • Community Management: Support day-to-day influencer and creator community engagement across social media, including monitoring and responding to DMs, comments, and creator inquiries to nurture relationships and identify partnership opportunities.
  • PR & Influencer Lists Maintenance: Update and maintain influencer and PR lists to keep campaigns organized and efficient.
  • PR & Event Support: Assist with influencer events, product launches, and brand activations, including guest lists, RSVPs, vendor research, gifting, and event-day logistics. Support press outreach coordination and media tracking as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proactive, resourceful self-starter who takes initiative, learns quickly, and follows through on assignments.
  • Strong eye for identifying engaging, high-quality content creators who align with a brand's audience and values.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, influencer culture, and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate well within a team and build relationships with influencers and ambassadors.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, and Docs).
  • Passion for the evolving skincare and beauty industry.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about influencer marketing and eager to gain real-world experience in a fast-moving beauty brand. You will have the opportunity to work creatively, learn new skills, and make meaningful contributions to impactful campaigns.

The hourly rate for this role is $17.00/hour.
