Job Description

In this position, you will develop and improve web applications that help engineering teams plan, run, and analyze product validation. You will primarily contribute to VALET Web, building user-facing features with modern web technologies and integrating them with application APIs. You will also help turn test and operational data into clear reports and visualizations, and may contribute to SQL-backed application features. You will work with firmware, validation, and software engineers to understand user needs, deliver reliable features, and improve engineering workflows.

As a Web Application Engineer, your regular responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, test, review, document, and maintain VALET Web features using TypeScript and Angular; a sibling project uses React, so cross-framework work is possible
  • Translate engineering and validation workflows into clear, maintainable web application features
  • Integrate UI features with REST APIs and collaborate on end-to-end behavior; contribute to C# / ASP.NET Core API features as needed
  • Build useful views, reports, and visualizations of test results, host status, utilization, and other operational data
  • Write and execute SQL queries against SQL Server to investigate data, support reporting features, and troubleshoot inconsistencies
  • Investigate data and application behavior to identify inconsistencies, performance issues, and opportunities to improve user workflows
  • Write and maintain automated tests — unit, integration, and end-to-end (Playwright) — and contribute to reliable releases
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity while maintaining ownership of code correctness, review, and design decisions
  • Work with engineering stakeholders to clarify requirements, review proposed workflows, and incorporate user feedback
  • Coordinate work to deliver agreed milestones

A successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • The ability to listen, understand and respond professionally to partner questions and issues while building trust
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • A history of self-starting and effective multitasking, with strong influence and leadership skills
  • A history of working in teams and/or feature development through the different stages of a product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed below would be obtained through a combination of schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related field.

3+ years of experience in the following areas:

  • Developing web applications using TypeScript and a modern component-based front-end framework
  • Browser-based application fundamentals, including responsive user interfaces and REST API integration
  • Writing SQL queries and working with relational databases

Preferred Requirements:

  • Professional experience with Angular, including services, RxJS, routing, forms, and component-based architecture; React experience is a plus
  • Testing and debugging application features in a collaborative software development environment, using Git-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code review)
  • HTML, CSS/SCSS, responsive layouts, reusable components, and accessible user interfaces
  • Backend development with ASP.NET Core (C#) or Spring Boot (Java) — strong Java/Spring developers are welcome; C# and .NET can be learned on the job
  • Entity Framework (Core or 6), SQL Server schemas, or database routines
  • End-to-end testing with Playwright or equivalent frameworks
  • Charting and reporting tools such as ApexCharts, Chart.js, ExcelJS, or equivalents
  • Experience gathering user feedback and improving multi-step engineering or validation workflows
  • Applied data-analysis experience, including data cleaning, exploratory analysis, or statistical methods
  • Familiarity with hardware validation, storage (NVMe), or test-management domains
  • Docker and CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Experience using AI coding assistants effectively, with the judgment to verify, debug, and take responsibility for the output — including the ability to work without them when needed

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
