Sommer’s Automotive is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Office Assistant to join our Accounting Office team!

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced office setting, is willing to learn, and can provide support across a variety of dealership accounting and administrative functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous automotive dealership office experience or an individual looking to build a career in automotive accounting. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Accounting Office Assistant, you will work closely with our Accounting Office team to support daily dealership operations. This position offers a variety of responsibilities and the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of automotive accounting.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with automotive billing, deal processing, and reviewing vehicle sales documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support daily accounting office functions, including data entry, recordkeeping, filing, and document management.
  • Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, and general accounting tasks as needed.
  • Provide administrative support with vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation.
  • Help maintain accurate records and ensure dealership paperwork is processed in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and keep processes moving efficiently.
  • Provide additional support throughout the Accounting Office based on daily priorities and business needs.
  • Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of automotive dealership office experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience with automotive billing, deal processing, or dealership accounting is a plus.
  • Experience with Dealertrack DMS is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust priorities in a busy office environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and eager to learn new responsibilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
