The posting

Supply Chain & Operations Manager

We are only reviewing local candidates in Los Angeles, California, and are not offering relocation assistance or remote options.

SonoSim is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual for a part-time, hands-on hybrid role who enjoys keeping supply chain, order operations, and vendor and member communications running smoothly. This is not a training role. You are comfortable working across physical product logistics and software backend systems, where accuracy and sound judgment are essential.

This role owns the operational lifecycle, including purchasing and vendor management, inventory forecasting, hardware logistics, order processing, software configuration, shipping, and member communication. You will take ownership of supply chain and the full order-to-delivery process while serving as a responsive, knowledgeable point of contact for vendors and members. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is able to balance physical packaging and shipping work with clear written and verbal product support.

Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Order Logistics

  • Oversee order processing from receipt through activations, shipment, and delivery.
  • Use operational know-how to configure software correctly, manage accurate order details, prevent database errors, forecast inventory needs, and resolve vendor issues independently.
  • Manage vendor relationships, vendor RMAs, and purchase orders.
  • Manage ISO documentation and ensure activities follow documented ISO practices.
  • Package and ship products according to established quality and packaging standards.
  • Own inbound and outbound shipping operations, including domestic and international orders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving shipping requirements and update company systems, processes, and records as needed.
  • Maintain organized, accurate physical inventory; receive, inspect, and store incoming products and supplies.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound product inspections and support quality-control procedures.
  • Conduct monthly inventory audits, reconcile inventory, and process member and vendor RMAs.
  • Maintain inventory and order records in Salesforce.
  • Identify workflow issues and suggest practical improvements.
  • Serve as a helpful, professional first point of contact for member questions related to orders, shipping, delivery timing, returns, and basic product guidance.
  • Maintain working knowledge of SonoSim products, pricing, and delivery timelines.
  • Provide backup support as needed.
  • Periodically assist with accounts receivable collections and follow-up on overdue accounts.
  • Build positive relationships by listening carefully, communicating clearly, and following through on commitments.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of work experience in an Operations or Supply Chain role, preferably in a SaaS or medical device industry.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quickly learning new concepts and maintaining working knowledge of evolving products and workflows.
  • Experience working with Salesforce® and Google/Microsoft applications preferred.
  • Strong customer-service mindset with excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfort learning and using business software, order-management tools, spreadsheets, and shared communication systems.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
  • Adaptable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of both routine and unexpected tasks.
  • Experience with hardware/software products, manufacturing, or quality-controlled environments is a plus.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

  • Part-Time, Hybrid: 20-25 hours per week, requiring regular onsite presence (3 days per week) for packaging, receiving, and shipping with flexibility for remote work.
  • Ability to work onsite and move products and supplies (Up to 35 lbs).
  • Ability to meet daily shipping deadlines and occasionally adjust hours to support time-sensitive member needs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
