Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the Sophos Endpoint Windows Platform strategy, roadmap, and product execution. This role leads the Windows platform foundation that powers Sophos Endpoint protection, detection, response, management, and go-to-market outcomes at global scale. You will define where the Windows platform needs to go, turn complex operating system and security requirements into clear product priorities, and drive execution across Engineering, Sophos X-Ops, Sophos MDR Ops, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Support, and strategic technology partners.
This person must bring deep Windows operating system knowledge and strong endpoint security judgment. Success requires hands-on understanding of Windows internals, endpoint agent architecture, security controls, deployment models, performance, compatibility, telemetry, and platform change management. The role also requires close partnership with Microsoft on critical roadmap initiatives that affect endpoint security, customer trust, and Sophos market leadership.
What You Will Do
- Own product strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes for the Sophos Endpoint Windows Platform.
- Develop the Windows platform strategy for Sophos Endpoint, including platform modernization, operating system readiness, security control evolution, agent architecture, performance, compatibility, reliability, and customer deployment success.
- Work closely with Microsoft on critical strategic roadmap initiatives, ecosystem changes, platform dependencies, security integrations, and early engagement opportunities that affect Sophos Endpoint customers.
- Translate Windows operating system changes, customer needs, threat landscape shifts, partner requirements, and business priorities into a clear product roadmap that engineering teams can execute.
- Partner with Engineering to define requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, sequence platform investments, and deliver high-quality Windows endpoint capabilities at scale.
- Serve as the Windows platform product owner for cross-portfolio teams, including Sophos XDR, EDR, MDR, Workspace Protection, X-Ops, NG-SIEM, and Endpoint Management.
- Use endpoint telemetry, customer feedback, field input, support trends, competitive analysis, and platform data to prioritize work and make clear product decisions.
- Support go-to-market enablement by developing launch narratives, field guidance, partner messaging, customer-facing positioning, adoption plans, and roadmap communication for Windows platform initiatives.
- Represent Sophos Endpoint Windows Platform in customer councils, executive briefings, partner conversations, Microsoft engagements, competitive reviews, analyst discussions, and internal strategy forums.
What You Will Bring
- 10+ years of product management, platform product management, endpoint security, enterprise security, Windows platform, or adjacent technical product experience.
- Extensive understanding of the Windows operating system and platform, including endpoint security architecture, kernel and user-mode considerations, security controls, deployment models, diagnostics, performance, compatibility, operating system lifecycle, and platform change management.
- Demonstrated success defining and shipping platform capabilities that improve security efficacy, endpoint resilience, customer deployment success, operational efficiency, or revenue growth.
- Proven ability to work with strategic technology partners, ideally including Microsoft, to influence platform direction, prepare for ecosystem changes, and protect customer outcomes.
- Strong technical fluency across endpoint protection, detection and response, agent architecture, telemetry, update systems, operating system compatibility, and enterprise endpoint administration.
- Ability to translate deep technical platform work into clear roadmap priorities, executive narratives, customer value, sales enablement, partner guidance, and adoption plans.
- Strong product judgment, ownership, urgency, curiosity, and humility, with a proven ability to use data, customer insight, technical depth, and stakeholder input to make clear decisions.
- Clear, concise communication skills across executives, engineering leaders, field teams, partners, customers, and external technology stakeholders.
- Experience building or enabling go-to-market plans for enterprise security products, including launch readiness, customer messaging, partner enablement, and field training.
