Job Overview:

The Estimator will have the responsibility of examining plans, creating various sub-packages, collaborating with both local colleagues and counterparts in Australia. The goal is to provide the Client with best tender package by seeking complete, competitive, and multiple tender costs.

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8 AM to 5 PM

Location: Bridgetowne, Pasig City

*AU Holidays will be observed for this account

*There is a 4 to 5-week shutdown for this account that starts Mid-week of December

Responsibilities:

  • Review tender packages and plans coming from Project Managers.
  • Perform detailed scope of works and breakdown into various sub-tenders; electrical, plumbing, floor covering, painting, joinery, glazing, mechanical, and etc.
  • Issue out each of these sub-tenders to contractors for competitive pricing.
  • Review and analysis of received sub-contractors pricing to ensure complete, competitive, and multiple matching quotes.
  • Coordinate with the team in ensuring all scopes of work, summary, and tender packages are properly reviewed before sending out.
  • Collate and summarize the final package for review with a Project Manager before the tender is presented to the client.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • At least 1 year of experience in Estimating or Quantity Surveying
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans (Architectural, Structural, MEPS, etc.)
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience in the construction or building retail industry, specifically dealing with scopes of work and quantity take-offs
  • Experience in breaking tenders to sub-packages
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal
  • A good grasp of mathematics, calculations, etc.
