Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on HubSpot and Growth Marketing Specialist to join our team as an embedded remote team member. The primary responsibility of this role is to own and continuously improve Charter's HubSpot environment, including CRM structure, marketing automation, reporting, website integration, and marketing-to-sales handoff.

This role supports business growth through paid acquisition, website optimization, SEO, and emerging AI search visibility strategies. It is ideal for someone who can seamlessly balance technical execution, data-driven analysis, and campaign delivery — whether that means improving workflows, building high-converting landing pages, or analyzing market and campaign performance to identify opportunities for growth.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Sydney Time

Holidays: Observes Australian public holidays, with a company shutdown period at the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities

1. HubSpot Ownership — Core Responsibility

  • Own HubSpot across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub/CRM and Content Hub (CMS), including data quality, configuration, governance and ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain database hygiene, deduplication, naming conventions, custom properties, lists, lifecycle stages and pipeline structure.
  • Design, build and optimize landing pages, forms, website pages and conversion paths in HubSpot.
  • Build, maintain and troubleshoot workflows, automation, lead routing, notifications and nurture sequences.
  • Build useful marketing, sales and management dashboards and reporting.
  • Ensure HubSpot integrations with advertising, analytics and other marketing platforms are reliable and correctly configured.
  • Train and support Sales and Administration team members so HubSpot is used consistently and correctly.
  • Document key HubSpot processes, structures and operating rules.

2. Lifecycle, Pipeline, Segmentation & Attribution

  • Review and optimise lifecycle stages, lead statuses, deal pipelines and lead scoring in consultation with Sales.
  • Define and document clear stage entry and exit criteria and marketing-to-sales handoff rules.
  • Rebuild and maintain audience segments by market, course/product type, lifecycle stage, lead source and other relevant criteria.
  • Establish and maintain consistent lead-source, campaign and UTM conventions.
  • Improve attribution so Charter can identify which channels, campaigns and markets generate leads, opportunities, enrolments and revenue.
  • Identify stuck, mis-staged or poorly managed records and improve the underlying process rather than relying on manual cleanup.

3. Website, SEO & AI Search Visibility

  • Build and update website and landing pages, with a focus on accuracy, user experience, conversion and lead generation.
  • Manage on-page and technical SEO fundamentals, including keyword research, content optimisation, internal linking and structured data where appropriate.
  • Develop and implement emerging AI-search/AEO/GEO practices to improve Charter's visibility across AI-assisted search platforms and traditional search.
  • Monitor Charter's brand visibility and citations across relevant AI search tools and search engines.
  • Ensure website lead capture and tracking are properly connected to HubSpot.

4. Paid Acquisition & Conversion

  • Plan, launch, manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns across selected markets.
  • Manage Meta and LinkedIn campaigns where commercially appropriate.
  • Manage budgets, conversion tracking, campaign QA and performance reporting.
  • Verify the complete conversion path from advertisement to landing page, form, HubSpot contact, opportunity/enrolment and revenue attribution before scaling spend.
  • Continuously test and improve campaign messaging, audiences, landing pages, calls to action and conversion rates.

5. Campaign Planning & Market Analysis

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns for selected courses, products and market sectors.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Charter's products, target customers and delivery capacity.
  • Work with the CEO/General Manager, Head of Sales, and Head Teachers to align marketing activity with operational capacity and business priorities.
  • Analyse existing and potential markets and identify opportunities for growth or new products.
  • Develop market-specific messaging and work with internal team members, education agents or native-language resources to localise campaigns where required.
  • Monitor campaign effectiveness and recommend where Charter should increase, reduce or change marketing activity.

6. Team Support, Compliance & Governance

  • Work as an embedded member of the Charter team and participate in relevant team check-ins and planning discussions.
  • Provide practical HubSpot, marketing and reporting support to Sales and other relevant team members.
  • Liaise with Head Teachers and relevant managers to ensure course and program marketing is accurate and appropriately targeted.
  • Complete required marketing compliance checks before publication and escalate any uncertainty to the Charter Manager responsible before publishing.
  • Take particular care with marketing of accredited courses, government-subsidized programs and other regulated education products.
  • Develop and maintain clear marketing SOPs, including the Marketing and Student Recruitment Manual, and support consistent team compliance with those processes.
  • Comply with Charter Australia policies, procedures and legal requirements and promptly report identified breaches or significant risks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years of strong hands-on HubSpot experience across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub/CRM and Content Hub/CMS.
  • Strong foundation in marketing principles and experience supporting in-house marketing initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience creating and managing landing pages, including building new campaign pages, updating existing pages, and duplicating or modifying HubSpot web pages.
  • Technical proficiency with HTML and CSS, with the ability to troubleshoot basic website issues, manage website updates, support integrations, and configure staff email accounts within HubSpot, including resolving setup and technical issues.
  • Proven experience managing and maintaining live HubSpot databases, including data cleaning, restructuring, governance, and effectively utilizing features available within the organization’s HubSpot subscription.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO principles and experience implementing optimization strategies to improve website visibility and performance, with exposure to emerging AI search optimization practices such as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) highly desirable.
  • Strong experience with HubSpot CRM capabilities, including custom properties, lists, segmentation, lifecycle stages, deal pipelines, lead status, lead scoring, workflows, and marketing automation. Ability to independently build, troubleshoot, and optimize workflows, as well as create practical reports and dashboards to support marketing, sales, and management teams.
  • Relevant HubSpot certifications are preferred.
  • Proficiency in GA4 and Google Ads, with experience managing campaigns, monitoring performance, optimizing conversions, and using analytics and CRM insights to guide marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to create clear content, present insights, and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Data-driven and commercially minded, with the ability to interpret insights, identify opportunities, and recommend improvements.
  • Self-directed, organized, and effective in a remote working environment with strong attention to detail

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
