Substitute Cafeteria Worker Pool

GENERAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare quality, nutritious food items as directed by the School Cafeteria Manager.
  • Serve food items according to the portion size to meet the necessary age group requirements.
  • Operate equipment in a safe, proper, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen. To clean all kitchen equipment, wash and sterilize dishes, silverware, and utensils as assigned to proper sanitation procedures.
  • Follow all Health Department rules and regulations.
  • Observe safety rules and regulations
  • Immediately report all accidents to the School Cafeteria Manager.
  • Immediately report any product quality or operational problem to the School Cafeteria Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the School Cafeteria Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Exception: Food Service Director may consider an alternate qualification.
  • Works well with people, especially children, and maintains a pleasant and positive work attitude. Also, must be able to work well with fellow workers.
  • Follows proper food sanitation and cleanliness procedures.
