The posting

We are looking for an Automotive Sales Associate to join our car sales team! The right person will have experience selling, and must love working with people. Sales experience is required, but automotive sales is not! Don't hesitate to apply!

Compensation:

  • Sales Consultants are paid, in part based on hourly, commission and/ or bonus compensation, with minimum guarantees. Total compensation inclusive of all pay elements which the Dealership expects to pay will range from approximately $4,000 - $10,000 per month ($48,000 - $120,000 annually): with no fixed upper limit and total compensation will vary based on individual performance and sales volume.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting customers who enter or phone into the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
  • Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
  • Offering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive
  • Follow up with prospective customers and return email / voicemail
  • Support on-line customers by setting appointments
  • Follow up with existing customers to confirm their satisfaction and possibly generate referral business
  • Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives defined by the sales manager
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively

Requirements:

  • Sales background required - automotive sales not required!
  • Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge is required for data entry and use of CRM software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Ability to learn new computer systems and programs quickly.
  • Valid driver's license required and clean driving record
