Home: Sumac Lodge  Location: Sarnia, Ontario Hourly Wage:$23.46 Position: Dietary Aide  Status: Part Time Vacancy  Shift: 8:00am-12:00pm   Southbridge Care Homes provides exceptional acquisition, management, and redevelopment services for long-term care homes and retirement communities across Ontario. Our mission is to maintain a best-in-class portfolio that consistently delivers excellence in care and services while ensuring economic sustainability. Reports to: Food Service Manager The Dietary Aide provides support to the setup, preparation, serving and cleaning associated with all meal services in the Home. Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling Assisting cooks in basic food preparation Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols Serving meals according to Resident diet orders Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room

  Knowledge and Skills Required:

Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Demonstrated ability to be a team player

    Additional Requirements include  

A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start date.

Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months of start date.
