The posting

SPAR Ballsbridge require a full time Deli Assistant to join their fantastic team.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Previous deli or food service experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
  • Good customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy periods.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and HACCP procedures.
  • Ability to prepare sandwiches, rolls, salads and other deli products to a high standard.
  • Maintain excellent cleanliness and hygiene throughout the deli area.
  • Follow food rotation, stock control and date-checking procedures.
  • Ensure all food is prepared, stored and displayed correctly.
  • Be punctual, dependable and flexible with working hours, including weekends.
  • Take pride in your work and maintain high standards at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve fresh food in accordance with company standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle customer requests professionally.
  • Keep counters, equipment and work areas clean and organised.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness and stock levels.
  • Follow all food safety, allergen management and hygiene procedures.
  • Work closely with the deli team to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • We want someone who is enthusiastic, takes responsibility for their work, works well as part of a team and understands the importance of cleanliness, food quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Store specific training will be provided.
