Concurrent Real Time is part of HBK’s Virtual Test Division, which provides real-time software, simulator, and hardware-in-the-loop solutions to virtually test products throughout the development cycle, helping companies accelerate innovation, reduce physical prototypes and time-to-market, and improve their competitive advantage.

Our real-time simulation and professional driving simulator solutions include static deskside solutions, through to full-scale driver-in-the-loop dynamic simulators. We deliver turnkey solutions to enable transportation industry OEMs, suppliers, research centers, motorsport teams and universities to accelerate product development. This includes supplying proprietary software, hardware, services, and an open framework for customization.

Virtual Test employs 300 highly skilled colleagues worldwide and has offices in Germany, Italy, France, UK, China, Japan, and the USA, as well as a broad network of worldwide channel partners.

Position Overview:

  • Provide necessary technical support/analysis to inter-company (Concurrent Nippon) and our customers. Act as single point of contact for support, field and development personnel in managing critical problems.
  • Installation and integration both hardware and software.
  • Address technical problems involving the integration of all Concurrent software products and their interaction with Concurrent and non-Concurrent hardware. Integrate non-Concurrent products into Concurrent systems.
  • Develop new concepts and approaches to situations not previously encountered as required.
  • Mainly in charge of aerospace, defense, and automotive industries.

Responsibilities:

  • Define, analyze and resolve complex software and systems problems via telephone, remote computer link and on-site support, distinguishing between hardware and software problems and responding accordingly.
  • Provide support for operating system upgrades, product and patch installations.
  • Escalate critical problems through proper channels, pulling critical resources when needed and documenting problem resolution.
  • Provide detailed systems expertise involving integration and interplay of complex hardware, software and communications products, including the identification and resolution of complex problems involving Concurrent and non-Concurrent products.
  • Perform training as required.
  • Provide technical evaluation and input when new products are released.
  • Assist from time to time in development and/or maintenance of product releases.
  • Distribute software fixes to customers and field support personnel.
  • Perform collateral duties as assigned that contribute to the operation of technical support.
  • Complete making inspection jobs within limited term.
  • Provide quotations about our support services to our customers.
  • Manage outsourcing partners that is delivering and repairing maintenance parts.
  • Manage annual inspection plans and the schedule of launching rockets support every month.
  • Sometimes lift or carry up to 30 kg products in the office and our customers’ site.
  • Perform such other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Japanese and live in Japan: Aerospace and defense industries never allow to work foreigners in their sites.
  • Driver’s license is necessary: He/she has to rent and drive a car when he/she goes on business trip to countryside alone.
  • High school graduated or above.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Linux knowledge is necessary.
  • Specialized education in computer science if possible.
  • C/C++ language comprehension if possible.
