Are you a kid at heart looking to build a career with a leading global children's toy, entertainment and digital gaming company?

At Spin Master, our unwavering commitment to open mindedness, integrity and innovation is a great part of what has made us an industry leader. How do we stay ahead of the pack? By hiring the best and brightest minds—and that’s why we want you!

Job Description:

What will you work on? Reporting to the Product Development Manager or Product Development Lead, you will drive the technical execution of global toys and games portfolios from concept through to full production. You will act as the technical anchor for major product lines, collaborating with large cross-functional teams—including Design, Marketing, Quality, and Packaging—to deliver high-quality, cost-effective products on time and on specification.

This is a 12 month contract position with the possibility for renewal.

How will you create impact?

  • Collaborate with GBU Design and Brand teams during early ideation, providing critical mechanical feasibility and product cost assessments
  • Lead technical prototyping and proof-of-concept builds to de-risk new toy mechanisms, physical features, and gameplay systems
  • Deliver detailed component and product designs optimized for high-volume manufacturing and assembly (DFM/A)
  • Draft comprehensive physical product performance and technical specifications
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for global Manufacturing Engineering teams (in Asia, Mexico, and the EU) to ensure alignment on tooling and production details
  • Integrate mechanical, material, electro-mechanical, or mechatronic engineering expertise throughout the end-to-end product development lifecycle
  • Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) databases to track, manage, and release key engineering deliverables
  • Lead technical product review sessions, document key deliverables, and track action items to preempt development hurdles
  • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot project risks, coordinating with global support departments to resolve complex issues or escalate when necessary
  • Research and explore emerging materials, mechanisms, and manufacturing technologies to continuously improve engineering efficiency

What are your skills and experience?

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Computer, or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional experience in product development, hardware engineering, or manufacturing engineering
  • Solid understanding of injection-molded plastics, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering cost structures for durable consumer goods
  • Demonstrated experience with CAD and PLM software to manage technical specifications, drawings, and 3D models
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple product lines and engineering timelines simultaneously in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating with and managing deliverables from external creative vendors, industrial designers, and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear actionable updates for business partners
  • Bonus: Prior engineering experience within the toy or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry is a strong asset

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
