Do you know Danish accounting inside out, and want to use that knowledge somewhere things move fast? At Spirii, we build the charging solutions behind the shift to electric driving. As we grow, so does the need for strong, reliable numbers. That is where you come in.
Your role
As Senior Accountant, you will work alongside our other Senior Accountant and closely with the Head of Accounting. Together, you make sure our Danish accounting records are accurate and complete, and that our month-end and year-end close is delivered on time and under control.
This role is for an experienced accountant who wants to go beyond transactional work. You will own complex accounting topics, be the go-to person for accounting questions in the team, and help shape how our finance processes work as we scale as part of the Edenred Group.
What you will do
- Own complex general ledger work, including journal entries, accruals, provisions and prepayments
- Run monthly balance sheet reconciliations and make sure open items are investigated and cleared
- Take ownership of key parts of the month-end and year-end close, including cut-off, closing files and group deadlines
- Prepare and review Danish VAT reporting, including complex domestic and cross-border transactions, and file reports with the Danish tax authorities and other agencies
- Support statutory reporting and the annual accounts, and work with external auditors and tax advisers
- Manage intercompany reconciliations and support group consolidation and reporting
- Maintain and improve accounting controls, and help build standard procedures for the team
- Take part in ERP, automation and finance improvement projects as we grow
What you bring
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including experience from a Danish company
- Strong knowledge of Danish accounting rules and VAT
- Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory accounts and external audit
- Experience with intercompany accounting
- Strong Excel skills
- Professional fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
- Experience from an international group, including group reporting or consolidation
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or another modern ERP
- Experience improving or automating finance processes
- Knowledge of Danish payroll accounting, tax or other local compliance areas
- A degree or qualification in accounting, finance or business administration
