Your mission
For our subsidiary in Arlington, Texas, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic HR Specialist to join our team and play a key role in supporting our employees and HR operations. In addition to your primary HR responsibilities, you will support our Soccer Live Event Data operations by collecting and entering live match data for professional soccer competitions.
Our Arlington team consists of approximately 15 full-time employees and 90 part-time staff members deployed on an assignment basis.
The position is designed as a full-time role with the primary focus on HR activities. The remaining working time will be dedicated to supporting our Soccer Live Event Data operations. The position requires regular on-site presence at our office in Arlington, Texas, as well as flexibility to work evenings and weekends according to the soccer match schedule.
Human Resources
- Act as the on-site HR partner for operational matters, executing established processes and supporting day-to-day employee relations in close alignment with the headquarters in Germany
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding
- Administer payroll for permanent staff and part-time employees using the Paycom platform and support employee benefits programs, including the annual enrollment process, following established policies and approval workflows
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with the headquarters, ensuring compliance with applicable legal regulations and internal guidelines
- Maintain detailed and accurate employee and recruitment records, reports, disposition notes, and other documentation to support transparent reporting to headquarters
- Provide occasional support with basic office management tasks as needed
Soccer Live Event Data
- Monitor televised soccer matches and capture goals, shots, and other defined match events in real time using a dedicated input system
- Apply standardized definitions to evaluate and classify match events during live coverage and post-match review
- Review and validate collected data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Work closely with colleagues to coordinate live match coverage and maintain a high level of speed and accuracy
- Complete required training, practice assignments, and assessments before taking on live match shifts
Your profile
Required for the HR focus of the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, preferably in a tech or IT environment
- Solid working knowledge of employment laws, payroll processes, and HR best practices
- Experience serving as a local HR point of contact and working closely with an HR team and international stakeholders
- Proficiency in HR software and tools; experience with Paycom is required, experience with Personio is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A high level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
- Comfortable working in an international reporting structure and collaborating closely with a Germany-based HR team
- A proactive and hands-on approach, combined with the ability to work within established processes and frameworks
Event Data Operator responsibilities:
- Interest in soccer and a good understanding of the game and its rules
- Attention to detail and a reliable working style
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends according to the match schedule
