The posting

Pay ranges from $18/hr to $20/hr based on education and experience.

Position Summary:

To provide support to the Procurement Manager/Purchasing Coordinator including processing paperwork, warehousing and delivery of supplies and materials to all locations in the organization.  

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:  

Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments. Process and approve packing list, then forward packing list to Purchasing Coordinator. Inspect items for damage.  Notify Procurement Manager of such damage. Sort and place items in the proper warehouse areas. Print supply orders using the procurement software for all locations for that day’s deliveries. Accurately pick and load supply orders into company vehicle for that day’s deliveries. Accurately fulfill all supply orders using the procurement software after picking all orders for the day. Operate company vehicles to distribute items/supplies to the proper departments/locations in a safe and timely manner, following a daily route as directed by the Purchasing Coordinator. Follow the guidance of the Purchasing Coordinator for all inventory deliveries and receiving’s. Assist all Springbrook subsidiaries with the movement of items as needed to the required destination under the direction of the Procurement Manager. Assist in shipping packages for commercial carriers. Pick up and deliver mail on a prescribed schedule between Springbrook subsidiaries. Accurately perform physical count of inventory. Clean and maintain warehouse and loading dock area as well as company vehicles weekly or as directed by Procurement Manager. Report any safety issues to the Procurement Manager immediately. Make recommendations that improve productivity to Procurement Manager. Contributing to the efficient operation of the department by performing other related duties as deemed necessary by the Procurement Manager.

All other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:  

High school diploma and 2 years of experience working in a related field. Associates degree in business or related field preferred. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word, and Windows based programs required. Proficiency in using Procurement software packages preferred. Possess excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, have meticulous attention to details and able to prioritize and execute tasks fully. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs. Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required. Maintaining a valid NYS Driver’s license is a condition of employment.
