Spry Methods is seeking a Lead Digital Forensic Examiner to serve as the primary technical point of contact to the Government for Cyber Forensics Laboratory (CFL) examination activities. This position leads a team of forensic analysts. It manages case assignments and workload, performs technical peer review, and supports the laboratory's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation through SOP development, internal audits, and quality assurance.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
- Lead and oversee all CFL forensic examination activities.
- Assign cases and manage the workload of forensic analysts.
- Perform technical peer review of forensic analysis reports for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and adherence to laboratory standards.
- Ensure forensic examination tasks are completed in accordance with the PWS and applicable quality requirements.
- Support ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation activities, including SOP development, internal audits, and quality assurance procedures.
- Monitor team performance, operational quality, and efficiency.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact to the Government for forensic examination activities.
- Proactively communicate technical, programmatic, and resource limitations that could affect performance.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
- TS/SCI clearance eligible.
- Active DC3 Cyber Training Academy Digital Forensic Examiner (DFE), GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA), GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE), or equivalent certification approved by the COR.
- At least seven years of hands-on experience conducting host-based forensic examinations across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- At least three years of leadership or supervisory experience within the last five years managing forensic analysts, assigning cases, and performing technical peer reviews.
- Demonstrated experience within the last three years supporting an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, including SOP development, internal audits, and quality assurance procedures.
