Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor daily QA/QC activities at the construction site.
  • Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and quality requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Coordinate daily inspection activities with QA/QC Engineers, consultants, subcontractors and site supervisors.
  • Check completed works before requesting inspection by consultants or client representatives.
  • Monitor construction materials delivered to site and verify compliance with approved material submissions.
  • Assist in implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and quality procedures.
  • Coordinate routine inspections and testing activities for civil, structural, architectural and related works.
  • Monitor concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, structural works and other construction activities as applicable.
  • Identify defective or non-compliant work and coordinate immediate corrective and rectification actions.
  • Follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are properly completed.
  • Monitor subcontractors' workmanship and compliance with approved method statements and quality requirements.
  • Maintain daily inspection records, photographs, checklists, test records and other QA/QC documentation.
  • Assist QA/QC Engineers in preparing inspection reports, quality reports and other project documentation.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Monitor rectification works and verify that defects are properly addressed.
  • Participate in quality meetings, site coordination meetings and toolbox briefings.
  • Ensure proper housekeeping and protection of completed works to prevent damage and defects.
  • Assist in internal quality inspections and audits.
  • Support project completion, defects rectification and handover activities.
  • Perform other QA/QC duties as assigned by the QA/QC Engineer or QA/QC Manager.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma, Higher Nitec, Nitec or relevant technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction QA/QC, site inspection or quality supervision.
  • Experience in large-scale building construction projects is preferred.
  • Experience in hospital, healthcare, institutional or complex building projects will be an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of construction workmanship, inspection procedures and quality control requirements.
  • Familiarity with ITPs, inspection checklists and method statements.
  • Experience in monitoring concrete, structural, architectural or general building works.
  • Basic knowledge of Singapore construction standards and quality requirements.
  • Experience in NCR and defect rectification processes.
  • Able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Good documentation and reporting skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work effectively with subcontractors, site supervisors, engineers and consultants.
  • Willing to work on construction sites and perform regular site inspections.
