Je helpt (ongeacht binnen welk team) mensen met maatschappelijke of sociale problemen. Je kijkt niet alleen naar de persoon die hulp vraagt, maar hebt ook oog voor zijn omgeving. Daardoor weet je wat er in de maatschappij leeft en verandert en vooral hoe deze veranderingen mensen beïnvloeden.

Je stelt de cliënt centraal en bouwt een vertrouwensrelatie uit. Je luistert actief en geeft hem of haar de juiste informatie en adviezen. Je helpt hem of haar door administratieve processen en zoekt samen naar een goede oplossing. Je ondersteunt mensen in hun maatschappelijke integratie op vlak van financiële noden, naar huisvesting, tewerkstelling of persoonlijke problemen. Je bent hierin realistisch en zeer oplossingsgericht.

Als gedreven maatschappelijke werker is het je doel om de maatschappelijke dienstverlenging te verzekeren en mensen in staat te stellen:

  • een leven te leiden dat beantwoordt aan de menselijke waardigheid;
  • om te gaan met persoonlijke problemen, problemen in hun dagelijks leven en in hun omgeving;
  • hun uit noodsituaties te helpen en hun situatie te verbeteren.

Je verwijst door naar andere hulpverleners als dit nodig is. Je hebt een warm hart en een bijzondere interesse voor mensen in kansarmoede. Je gaat actief op zoek naar mogelijkheden en oplossingen om hun levenssituatie te verbeteren. Je doelgroep omvat alle clienten binnen Hasselt, van 0 - 99jaar.

Selectievoorwaarden

Je beschikt over een bachelor in het sociaal werk of komt in aanmerking volgens deze opsomming:

  • diploma van master in het sociaal werk;
  • diploma van master in het sociaal werk en sociaal beleid;
  • diploma van master in de pedagogische wetenschappen, afstudeerrichting orthopedagogiek;
  • diploma van master in de agogische wetenschappen;
  • diploma van bachelor in het sociaal-agogisch werk met de titel van maatschappelijk assistent, of een daarmee gelijkgesteld diploma;
  • diploma van bachelor orthopedagogie;
  • diploma van bachelor sociale re-adaptatiewetenschappen;
  • diploma van bachelor gezinswetenschappen.

  • Jezelf evalueren en waar nodig jezelf bijsturen;
  • Timemanagement - plannen, organiseren en initiatief nemen is vanzelfsprekend;
  • Discreet werken – beroepsgeheim is een must binnen jouw job;
  • Empatisch en geduldig zijn.
