Job Description

Work Arrangement: This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with a minimum of 3 days/week working at the Stanford main campus, subject to operational needs.

Budgeted Salary: The budgeted base salary range for this position is $97,298 to $124,375 per annum.

The Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education (CGOE), part of Stanford Engineering, seeks a positive, highly motivated, client-focused, and team-oriented Program Developer to join our Custom and Executive Education team. Our team designs and delivers roughly 30-35 custom executive education programs each year for global corporate and government clients, bringing Stanford faculty expertise to leaders around the world in live virtual, online asynchronous, in-person, and blended formats. In this fast-paced environment, the successful candidate should have the ability to manage multiple programs, possess a strong attention to detail, thrive in a deadline driven environment, and possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively and inclusively interact with people across cultures.

In this role, you will partner with Stanford faculty and speakers to develop and deliver high-impact programs, and work directly with corporate clients to understand their learning and development needs and translate them into thoughtful program design. You will work closely with experienced Program Developers, Program Managers, and Events Managers, and with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. During live virtual and in person events, it is expected that the Program Developer will be responsible for making decisions in the best interest of the program, the attendees, and the University.

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver custom executive education programs within scope, on time, and within budget, achieving high client satisfaction.
  • Work with Stanford faculty and speakers to develop and deliver impactful programs across teaching modalities (in-person, online, and blended).
  • Partner with corporate clients to assess their learning and development needs and design new programs or execute existing ones to help them reach their learning goals.
  • Communicate and partner effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders throughout the program development and implementation lifecycle.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in support of the evolving needs of the team.
  • Occasionally work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends to support live virtual and in-person program delivery across time zones
  • Occasionally travel to support on-campus and off-site program events

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in executive education, professional education, learning and development, or a related field.
  • Experience working with faculty, subject matter experts, or senior-level speakers.
  • Experience assessing client needs and designing programs or solutions to meet them.

Physical Requirements*:

  • Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks.
  • Occasionally lifts boxes of program materials and pushes supply carts between storage and event locations
  • Occasionally sort/file paperwork.

Responsibilities

Core Duties:

  • Execute product/ program plan definition, and detailed rollout schedule, including collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop and execute a marketing plan, assessing, and revising as necessary to meet goals.
  • Implement conversion strategy to meet product/program goals.
  • Deliver an experience that leads to high customer satisfaction and advocacy for the program.
  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations regarding the direction of the program or product.
  • Actively participates in efforts to improve processes, programs and business across the department.
  • Coordinate with vendors and consultants on specific programs.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience with managing products/programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of various marketing elements (e.g. pricing, audience, channels, communication).
  • Ability to work independently to meet expected deadlines and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the target audience lifecycle and ability to convert leads into new business.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
