Job Title - Project Manager Location - San Antonio, TX Job Type – Onsite Requisition ID – 11392

Position Summary

This position is contingent on contract award.

This position is responsible for directing a project team in the execution of all project activities. controls processes and systems on a major project or a number of smaller projects. Under limited supervision, will perform the more complex aspects of project control activities, ensuring that all project control activities such as project administration, change management, project estimating, cost management, earned value management, and schedule management are executed in a timely fashion and in accordance with all company standards and contractual requirements. May be in a lead position on assigned projects.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Tracking daily construction activities against approved designs, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Verifying high-performance building metrics, cyber-safe FRCS integrations, and life-safety systems.
  • Managing scope and contract modification controls while preserving the cooperative "One Team" culture.
  • Coordinating construction sequencing, campus utility tie-ins, and civil site work to prevent disruptions to active base operations.
  • Overseeing site safety, environmental compliance, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) compliance, and complex supply chain logistics.
  • Participate in project scoping calls, costing and proposal preparation, interviews, and fee negotiations to the extent required.
  • Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate project engagements.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of project engagements including Client and Project Design Teams.
  • Review assigned projects after award to define project scope, determine work procedures/sequences, and develop schedules, budgets, staffing, and progress billing points.
  • Prepare project opening orders, project outlines, project initiation activities, project schedules, and lead project executions and closings.
  • Form and manage a Project Design Team (including outside subconsultants), and ensure responsibilities are assigned and the execution of tasks is completed according to the project scope, schedule, budget, risk constraints, and quality control requirements.
  • Lead and work closely with all disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Make recommendations on design alternatives.
  • Organize, manage, and maintain project information and records.
  • Achieve project performance established for the engagement.
  • Achieve project objectives including quality, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Maintain a continuing business relationship with clients as part of ongoing business development efforts.
  • Meet with client management as necessary to resolve issues and to obtain approvals throughout the project lifespan.
  • Assist in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.
  • Perform as a civil engineering technical design SME when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Business or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Current U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) or Architecture license.
  • Must have experience with International Building Code (IBC), Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS). OCONUS military planning and design experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated capabilities and success in managing $500M+ mega-sized projects.
  • Thorough understanding of inter-disciplinary design coordination.
  • General knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications. Obtain a Common Access Card.
  • Pass a ten-year criminal background check as required by our Federal clients.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Available and willing to work flexible hours and occasional overtime.
