Tuesday – Saturday, 3 – 1130pm EST

Our digital solutions team is more than a traditional IT organization. We are a team of passionate, collaborative, agile, inventive, customer-centric, results-oriented problem solvers. We are intellectually curious, love advancements in technology and seek to adapt technologies to drive Staples forward. We anticipate the needs of our customers and business partners and deliver reliable, customer-centric technology services

The Enterprise Security Operations Center (ESOC) serves as the central hub for protecting Staples' people, facilities, assets, and business operations. Our team monitors and responds to security events across North America, supports crisis management and business continuity efforts, and partners with leaders throughout the organization to help ensure a safe, secure, and resilient workplace.

The Enterprise Security Operations Center Supervisor leads the day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Security Operations Center. In this role, you will supervise a team of security professionals, oversee physical security technologies and processes, and serve as an escalation point for complex security incidents and emergency situations.

You will help execute operational plans, maintain compliance with security standards, support executive protection and crisis management initiatives, and identify opportunities to continuously improve Staples’ security capabilities. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping protect our people, facilities, and business operations across North America.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervise daily Enterprise Security Operations Center activities, including continuous monitoring, incident detection, threat assessment, and timely response to security events.
  • Lead the investigation, escalation, resolution, and documentation of physical security incidents, access control issues, workplace safety concerns, and emergency situations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of security professionals while maintaining appropriate staffing coverage for a 24/7 operation.
  • Manage and optimize physical security systems, including CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, mass notification, and related security technologies.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce security procedures, response protocols, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies to reduce enterprise security risk.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, emergency responders, security vendors, and other external partners during incidents and investigations.
  • Support executive protection, crisis management, emergency preparedness, business continuity, and enterprise risk management initiatives.
  • Monitor operational performance, conduct post-incident reviews, and recommend process and technology improvements.
  • Prepare and deliver incident reports, executive briefings, intelligence summaries, and operational recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and standardize security operations and procedures.
  • Support the implementation of new security technologies, programs, and organizational change initiatives.

What you bring to the table:

  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write, review, and present intelligence briefs, incident summaries, and operational recommendations to leadership.
  • Critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and effective during high-pressure situations and crisis events.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment when evaluating threats, directing incident response activities, and determining escalation requirements.
  • High ethical standards and a commitment to handling confidential and security-related information with discretion.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to support a 24/7 operational environment.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, Business Administration, Information Security, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in security operations, asset protection, law enforcement, military security, emergency management, intelligence operations, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, team lead, or shift management experience.
  • Experience managing security incidents, emergency situations, investigations, or crisis events.
  • Experience using physical security technologies, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm monitoring platforms.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, security reviews, or operational audits.
  • Knowledge of physical security principles, incident response procedures, emergency preparedness, and threat mitigation practices.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or enforcing security policies, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and security management platforms.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules as needed to support a 24/7 operation.

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Information Security, Emergency Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, LPC, CISSP, or comparable industry credentials.
  • Experience supervising three or more professional-level associates.
  • Experience supporting executive protection programs.
  • Experience working within a Security Operations Center or Enterprise Security Operations Center.
  • Experience using threat intelligence and OSINT platforms such as Ontic, Flashpoint, or similar solutions.
  • Experience administering mass notification systems such as Everbridge.
  • Experience leading crisis management exercises, emergency preparedness programs, or large-scale incident response activities.
  • Experience implementing security technology upgrades, integrations, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of business continuity planning, enterprise risk management, and crisis management practices.
  • Experience working within a complex, multi-site, or global operating environment.
  • Project management experience leading security-related initiatives from planning through implementation.

We Offer:

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
