Position: HSE Officer

Company Overview:

Star Services LLC is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the environment. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Officer to join our team.

Position Overview:

As the HSE Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. You will work closely with management and employees to promote a safe and healthy work culture and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and international best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide training and support to employees on HSE policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Monitor and maintain records of safety data, including incident reports, safety training, and safety equipment inspections.
  • Liaise with government agencies, clients, and contractors on HSE matters.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in HSE standards and regulations and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare and submit HSE reports to management as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Knowledge of local HSE regulations and international standards, such as OSHA and ISO.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing HSE programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HSE software.
  • Valid HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, are highly desirable.
