Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mech. Test House Technician Rm5 to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting mechanical testing and analysis on various products and components in our test house facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mechanical testing and analysis on products and components according to industry standards and specifications
  • Operate and maintain various testing equipment, such as tensile and compression machines, hardness testers, and impact testers
  • Record and analyze test data, prepare test reports, and make recommendations for improvements or modifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing
  • Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in testing technology and techniques

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical testing is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical testing role, preferably in a test house environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical testing methods and equipment
  • Familiarity with industry standards and specifications, such as ASTM, ISO, and ASME
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately record and analyze test data
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to safety and following protocols and procedures
