Position: Mill Assistant

Job Summary: As a Mill Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the production process of our materials. You will work closely with the mill operator to ensure smooth operations and maintain the highest quality standards. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers competitive pay and benefits.

Key Responsibilities: - Assist the mill operator in operating and monitoring machinery to produce materials according to specifications - Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet company standards - Load and unload materials onto machines and conveyor belts - Clean and maintain equipment and work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise during production - Keep accurate records of production data and report any discrepancies to the mill operator - Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries - Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations - Continuously look for ways to improve processes and increase efficiency

Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred - Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment is a plus - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously - Good communication and teamwork skills - Basic math and computer skills - Willingness to work in a physically demanding role and lift up to 50 pounds
