Torch Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Thrust Systems Engineer to support the 412 TW at Edwards AFB, CA. The ideal candidate will provide expert engineering advice and assistance to the TMAS 2/3 AFTC/SC in the Scientist and Engineer field comprised of Analysts, Engineers, and Scientists with knowledge and skills to apply a variety of analytical techniques to formulate and solve problems; plan for future technologies; conduct research and development; and define requirements for systems.

The candidate's tasks will be integral to the following framework Pillars. Proactive partner engagement develops and documents end to end business model process policy and resource forecasting.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. CitizenshipBachelor's or Master’s Degree and up to 6 years’ work experience in the applicable discipline. OR, bachelor's degree - 6 years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree or associate degree plus 4 years’ work experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. OR, Master's Degree - 12 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus 8 years' work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice as needed. Ability to maintain professional appearance. Secret clearance (required to start) and/or ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Clearance. Valid driver’s license. Physical Requirements.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Preferred Qualifications:Highly proficient with computers and software applications to include Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, etc.), expert attention-to-detail & highly organized.

Travel: Yes, 10-20% (Occasional travel may be required for meetings, trainings, and site visits)
