The posting
Park Forest Elementary is looking for energetic, collaborative, child-centered people to join our Special Education team as Interventionist Paraprofessionals. You’ll work directly with students, support their academic growth, and be part of a positive learning community that celebrates progress.
What to expect:
- A supportive team and a school community where you can grow
- Meaningful work that helps students succeed
- Starting pay of $18.23 to $19.38 per hour, plus benefits
What you’ll need: Highly Qualified (HQ) status
You can meet HQ status in any one of three ways:
- College credits: at least 2 years of post-secondary education (48 semester credit hours), documented by official transcripts
- A degree: an associate degree or higher, documented by official transcripts
- A qualifying assessment: meet a rigorous standard of quality through a State or local assessment. SCASD accepts programs from PDE/PaTTAN, Central Intermediate Unit 10, the PA State Education Association, and other professional agencies whose paraprofessional programs we deem acceptable. You’ll need to provide an official HQ certificate.
Not HQ yet? We’ll help. SCASD will support you in obtaining your HQ status, so don’t let this requirement stop you from applying.
Please note: All applicants, including current district employees, must upload verification of HQ status with their application.
Ready to join us?
If you want to engage with your community, grow in a positive learning environment, and help students reach their full potential, we’d love to hear from you.
