Job Purpose

Alpha Data Services is a strategic component of State Street Alpha, responsible for delivering scalable investment data management and integration capabilities to our customers. Our platform enables the acquisition, standardization, enrichment, governance, and distribution of critical investment and accounting data, supporting a broad range of business functions and investment operating models.

The Senior Business Analyst will contribute to the growth and modernization of Alpha's data services platform by partnering with business, product, and technology teams to define requirements, develop integration solutions, and drive the delivery of strategic data capabilities. This role requires a strong combination of business analysis, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on building reusable, scalable, and production-ready solutions that support enterprise investment data services.

Responsibilities:

· Support the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of strategic data integrations into the Alpha Ecosystem supporting Investment Book of Record (IBOR), Accounting Book of Record (ABOR), and related investment data domains.

· Partner with Product, Architecture, Development, and Data Management teams to define requirements, delivery plans, and implementation approaches for new and enhanced integration capabilities.

· Analyze current and target-state data operating models to identify opportunities for standardization, automation, scalability, and improved data consumption.

· Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements, translating them into integration use cases, process flows.

· Develop and maintain subject matter expertise relative to the Alpha Data Platform, Data Model and integration frameworks to support strategic solution design and evolution.

· Analyze and document data mappings between source systems, Alpha Data Platform, and downstream data consumers to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability.

· Define and document data transformation, enrichment, derivation, and workflow requirements required to support enterprise investment and accounting data capabilities.

· Collaborate closely with Product, Development, Data Architecture, and Operations teams to design and deliver scalable, reusable, and production-ready integration solutions.

· Participate in functional, integration, and user acceptance testing activities, including test planning, test case development, execution support, and validation of production readiness.

· Contribute to the successful delivery of strategic initiatives through effective requirements management, issue resolution, risk identification, and stakeholder coordination.

· Partner with business and technology teams to identify and prioritize enhancements that improve data quality, operational efficiency, scalability, and platform capabilities.

· Contribute to the definition of product and platform requirements, helping drive the evolution of standard data services, integration patterns, and enterprise data capabilities.

· Collaborate with team members globally to promote best practices, establish consistent delivery methodologies, improve governance, and drive continuous process improvement.

· Support data quality, reconciliation, governance, and control processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of critical investment and accounting data.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or above.

· 7+ years of financial services experience is preferred.

· Experience working with Investment Book of Record (IBOR), Accounting Book of Record (ABOR), security master, positions, transactions, reference data, or related investment data domains.

· Strong analytical and data mapping skills with experience designing and supporting enterprise data integration solutions.

· Working knowledge of SQL, Snowflake, EDM, ETL tools, and data transformation frameworks.

· Demonstrated ability to collaborate across Product, Development, Architecture, Operations, and Data Management functions to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.

· Proven ability to manage concurrent initiatives, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic investment data and technology environment.

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
