Role Overview

We are seeking a team member to join the State Street Digital Center of Excellence (COE) and help develop innovative digital asset accounting solutions.

Members of the Digital COE collaborate with internal teams—including enterprise risk management, legal, product, and technology—and serve as liaisons to State Street clients and third-party vendors. This role focuses on fund accounting processes for digital assets, initially in the alternatives and ETF space.

Key activities include working directly with global delivery teams to document business needs and requirements, develop workable concepts, and carry operational workflow enhancements through to implementation.

The ideal candidate understands the intersection of traditional financial services and digital assets and can identify value propositions for accounting products. The role requires in-depth knowledge of financial accounting platforms, third-party digital asset data solutions, and the responsibilities of operational teams delivering accounting administration services to clients.

Accounting and Product Management Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures for tracking, valuing, and reporting digital assets.
  • Keep compliance procedures up to date to support adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices for digital asset accounting.
  • Prepare reports, quarterly metrics, and other analyses to support risk management and performance monitoring.

Product Management

  • Serve as a dedicated resource for proofs of concept (POCs) involving new subproduct types, vendor products, internal enhancements, and cross-product integration.
  • Engage with State Street business teams, clients, and prospects to assess servicing complexity and interest in new technologies, and propose solutions informed by these discussions.
  • Collaborate with business and product teams to assess cryptocurrency fund administration solutions, including identifying and validating value propositions from third-party vendors.
  • Define business functional requirements and work with technology teams to outline development work. Help shape roadmaps with clear, achievable milestones and realistic success criteria.

Qualifications and Experience

Required

  • 5+ years of significant experience with client workflows, back- and middle-office products, and fund accounting and administration using accounting platforms. Experience with Geneva is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with digital asset market data providers. Experience with DAR, Coinmetrics, and Lukka is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of trade flow processes in alternative and cryptocurrency markets.
  • Experience helping build innovative products from ideation through design and development using an agile framework.
  • Experience in business development and client engagement, with a track record of execution and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply structured thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and influencing skills.

Preferred

  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal partners and stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; experience in fintech or fast-paced corporate environments is a plus.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $140,000 Annual

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
