Responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical, and tech-savvy Global Payroll Administrator to manage and optimize our end-to-end multi-country payroll operations. In this role, you will ensure our global workforce is paid accurately and on time while maintaining strict compliance with local statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal controls. A central focus of this role will be modernizing and scaling our payroll tech stack. Whether you bring deep expertise in Deel and ADP, or are a quick, systems-minded learner adept at mastering complex platforms, you will play an integral role in administering our platforms and supporting upcoming system migrations and implementations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Payroll Operations & Execution

  • Oversee and execute multi-country payroll cycles across various international entities, contractors, and employee models (EOR, direct employment, part-time, and full-time).
  • Coordinate data collection, calculations, and input verification for base pay, overtime, allowances, bonuses, statutory deductions, benefits, and final payouts.
  • Audit and reconcile preliminary payroll reports and gross-to-net calculations against HRIS records prior to approval and transmission.
  • Partner with third-party payroll providers, local in-country partners (ICPs), and banking partners to execute disbursements and tax remissions.

2. Systems Administration & Implementation

  • Administer primary payroll platforms, specifically Deel and ADP, ensuring configurations, data mappings, and system workflows remain accurate.
  • Play a hands-on role in the rollout, testing, and implementation of new payroll and HRIS tools (with a strong emphasis on Deel integrations and optimizations).
  • Partner with HR Operations, IT, and Finance to automate workflows between HRIS, timetracking, and accounting systems to eliminate manual data entry.
  • Document system configurations, integration touchpoints, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

3. Compliance, Tax, and Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory payroll regulations, labor laws, social security contributions, and tax withholdings across active operating jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with internal Finance/Tax teams and external legal/payroll partners to handle year-end filings, wage reporting, tax forms, and statutory audits. Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc payroll reporting for Finance journal entries, general ledger (GL) reconciliations, variance analysis, and workforce budgeting.

4. Employee Support & Collaboration

  • Act as the primary contact for employee inquiries regarding pay stubs, tax withholdings, deductions, and payment timing, resolving tickets promptly and empathetically.
  • Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition and HR Operations during onboarding, status changes, and offboarding to ensure seamless data handoffs.
  • Conduct regular audits of employee tax profiles, banking details, and benefit deductions to maintain peak data integrity.

Required Qualifications:

  • Global Experience: 3+ years of direct experience administering payroll across multiple international jurisdictions and legal entities.
  • Systems Proficiency: Demonstrated working knowledge of Deel and ADP (WorkForce Now, GlobalView, or Streamline) OR proven technical acumen with a demonstrated track record of rapidly mastering complex new HRIS and payroll software.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with international tax withholdings, statutory contributions, benefits administration, and multi-currency payouts.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested formulas) for reconciliation and auditing.
  • Communication & Discretion: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive employee data with utmost integrity.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience participating in or leading a payroll/HRIS system implementation or migration, particularly involving Deel.
  • Experience supporting workforce transitions (e.g., contractor/freelancer to direct or parttime employee transitions).
  • Experience with integrations between HRIS platforms, time/attendance tools, and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Workday, BambooHR).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
