Is This For You?

Are you passionate about solving complex electrical control challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? Do you thrive on diagnosing and improving systems that power everything from small machinery to large-scale induction furnaces? If you’re a hands-on engineer with a deep understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and safety systems—and you enjoy collaborating with maintenance teams to keep production running smoothly—this role could be your perfect fit.

What Impact Would You Have?

· As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our production equipment. Your expertise will directly impact uptime, product quality, and the continuous improvement of our electrical systems. You’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving electrical control issues, supporting both planned upgrades and urgent troubleshooting needs.

How Would You Accomplish This?

  • Control Systems Expertise: Interpret and troubleshoot complex electrical control systems for a wide range of equipment, from small machines to large induction furnaces.
  • PLC Logic & Software: Read and diagnose PLC logic using a laptop and supporting software/hardware, with a focus on Automation Direct/Direct Logic systems.
  • Safety Systems: Ensure machinery complies with safety standards through proper use of safety circuits and hardware.
  • Induction Equipment: Apply your knowledge of induction principles to support melting furnaces, power supplies, and heating systems.
  • Drive Systems: Work with VFDs, Vector Drives, and DC Drive systems (Nidec, Control Techniques, Bardac, Baldor, ABB), including software tools and communication protocols.
  • Temperature Control: Configure and troubleshoot programmable and basic temperature controls, especially Eurotherm systems.
  • Instrumentation: Understand thermocouple types (K, J), PID control systems, and analog signal ranges (millivolt, 4-20 mA, 0-10 VDC).
  • Hydraulic Controls: Support systems involving solenoids, pumps, and motors with electrical control interfaces.
  • Voltage Systems: Work across a range of voltages including 480 VAC 3-phase, 240 VAC, 120 VAC, and 24 VDC.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead and assist maintenance electricians and engineers in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, providing clear direction and technical support.

What Are We Looking For?

· Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field

· Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on electrical control responsibilities.

· Strong understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.

· Familiarity with induction heating and melting systems is a strong plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
