  • Monitoring and assessment of underwriting and retrocession risk profiles, providing risk insights to support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, solvency requirements, and internal governance standards. Prepare and deliver risk reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Review, validate and align assumptions in third-party prepared actuarial outputs
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of risk appetite metrics, risk limits, and portfolio steering frameworks for P&C underwriting and retrocession risks.
  • Lead the analysis of the technical reserves on a quarterly basis for multiple lines of business.
  • Ongoing enhancement of Mattamy’s internal model, drawing on practical experience, portfolio analysis, and business insights
  • Use your expertise to resolve complex problems and help your colleagues in doing the same by sharing your actuarial knowledge.
  • Ensure pricing models are appropriately calibrated and used by Underwriters, including rate change calculation.
  • Actively build relationships with Underwriters and assist in change management when onboarding Underwriters onto new pricing tools or platforms.
  • Collaborate on transformation and simplification, operational, technology, and data initiatives.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and initiatives as required

What you bring

  • Fellow-level actuarial designation (e.g., FCAS, FIA, SAV, DAV or equivalent internationally recognized actuarial qualification).

  • Experienced project leader in an agile, multinational, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent in English.

Bonus points

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
