Your mandate: execution, ownership and results
You will personally lead the on-site execution of a major industrial project while overseeing several others, with individual projects worth several million euros. Your responsibility extends from site mobilisation and execution through handover and contractual and financial close-out.
This is neither a design-engineering position nor a remote project oversight role. You will be close to the work, teams, subcontractors and customers — while maintaining control of safety, quality, deadlines, budgets, margins and contractual commitments.
Where you will make the difference
- Deliver on site. Set execution priorities, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, resolve operational issues and ensure safe, high-quality delivery.
- Protect project performance. Own budgets, forecasts, costs, cash flow and margins; spot deviations early and act before they affect results.
- Manage contractual complexity. Anticipate risks, handle variations and claims, contribute to negotiations and safeguard customer relationships, including in public-sector projects.
- Lead and develop people. Guide a team of approximately five to six project professionals, building accountability, confidence and stronger project practices.
- Create clarity. Use practical planning, reporting and project reviews to turn complex situations into timely decisions — without unnecessary bureaucracy.
- At least 7 years managing complex industrial projects, including substantial, hands-on responsibility for on-site execution.
- At least 3 years in project management roles, with proven ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong financial and contractual judgement: budgets, margins, forecasts, risk, negotiation and claims.
- A sound technical foundation, ideally in mechanical, electromechanical, civil or industrial engineering; other educational backgrounds are welcome with substantial relevant experience.
- Fluent French and English; basic Dutch is an advantage. Experience with public procurement is particularly valuable.
