We are global private markets specialists delivering tailored investment solutions, advisory services, and impactful, data driven insights to the world’s investors. Leveraging the power of our platform and our peerless intelligence across sectors, strategies, and geographies, we help identify the advantages and the answers our clients need to succeed.

Position Overview

The High Value Data (“HVD”) team Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level member of the HVD team. The Senior Analyst performs core data operations with a high degree of independence while beginning to take on expanded scope responsibilities, team leadership contributions, and limited supervisory duties. The Senior Analyst works closely with DARO Leadership, the SPAR Client Services Team, Accounting, Analytics, and Investor Relations to support the private markets data universe and client deliverables. Performance will be evaluated on both an absolute basis against the responsibilities below and on a relative scale compared to peers at the same level.

Fundamental Core Responsibilities:

  • The SPAR DM HVD Senior Analyst possesses a proven operational ownership mindset and acts with top-level professionalism across all assigned and unassigned HVD activities. The HVD team focuses on portfolio company / asset level data and reporting into proprietary internal reporting systems. The Senior Analyst is expected to demonstrate increasing levels of technical skills and operational awareness, a growing level of strategic awareness and participation, and highly impactful effectiveness that maintains the goals and targets of DARO operations.
  • Will lead and improve the daily HVD ingestion and review of asset-level reporting information from GP-provided reporting into internal reporting systems. The Senior Analyst will master the quarterly reporting cycles associated with GP reporting and asset-level reporting.
  • Drives the collection, processing, and quality control of Company-level operating metrics: coordinates with GPs to obtain, clarify, and validate metric data; ensures operating metrics are accurately entered and reconciled within internal reporting systems on a timely basis.
  • Leverages AI extraction tools and scalable processing techniques to maximize both the quality and volume of total operating metrics collected; continuously evaluates and improves extraction workflows to expand data coverage across the private markets portfolio.
  • Completes daily assigned work supporting team-wide goals — including entry/extraction from General Partner provided materials — and consistently meets or exceeds team quality and quantity expectations.
  • Processes data from private markets general partners, including entry, review (where applicable), and reconciliation of schedule of investments, financial statements, and operating metrics.
  • Maintains quality standards and prioritizes tasks to ensure all deadlines are met; escalates concerns proactively to Functional Team Captains and client teams. Upholds the team-wide quality control target of 96%+ accuracy.
  • Identifies areas of concern due to insufficient or inaccurate data and escalates to appropriate Functional Team Captains and client teams.
  • Follows DARO protocols to contact GPs as necessary to clarify unclear data and request supplemental information; professional standards must be maintained at all times.
  • Develops and deepens cumulative Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities across all Fundamental Core responsibilities; qualifies for and pursues Expanded Scope Opportunities.
  • Demonstrates an ownership mindset and acts with professionalism across all assigned and unassigned HVD, Client Service, and department activities.

Leadership and Extended Opportunities May Include:

  • Volunteers to assist with specific team needs and serve as part of the daily operational leadership staff.
  • May provide daily guidance and instruction to Junior Analysts or Analysts.
  • Contributes to team continuity and building; serves as a resource and informal mentor for less experienced team members.

DARO Team General Expectations

  • Extreme ownership mindset — drive change through long-term ownership with daily discipline and focus.
  • Proactive, timely 360-degree communication is required.
  • Dedication to effective systems with a relentless approach to increasing quality and effectiveness.
  • Continued development of applicable hard skills and active contribution to training others.
  • Team continuity and building.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business preferred; Advanced Certification (CFA/MBA/CPA) a plus.
  • 2–4 years of private markets or relevant financial services experience.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of financial accounting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to identify and investigate issues or inconsistencies with data.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
