Stew Leonard's Yonkers High School Fundraiser Program Seasonal - Hourly – Weekly Pay Pay: $17.00/hr. + earning $1/hour toward your school Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older Position Description: The Garden Shop Assistant interacts directly with customers helping them select their perfect gardening plants and answer questions about the different varieties we sell. The position also entails cleaning and organizing the Garden Shop. This is the place for the individual who loves the outdoors. This department is perfect for someone who likes to work with their hands and get them dirty! What you bring to the team:

Entry level position; no prior experience required Great customer service Good oral communication Self-starter  Great work ethic Flexible Honest

 Working Conditions:

Ability to deliver great service, providing our customers with a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience in a prompt and courteous manner  Keeping the Garden Shop clean and organized Selling trees to Customers Must be a team player with a positive attitude    Helping out in another department in the store if needed   Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the department  The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, reaching, pushing and pulling with a maximum of 70+lbs. Must be willing to work in very cold weather
