Over DOCK

In elke wijk zijn verhalen te vinden: van mensen die elkaar helpen, dromen najagen of soms even vastlopen. Bij DOCK staan we middenin de wijk – we kennen de verhalen. Je vindt ons op straat, in het buurthuis, online en op school, en we luisteren naar wat er echt speelt. We verbinden mensen, openen deuren en laten zien wat wél kan. Zo groeien netwerken, ontstaat vertrouwen en worden buurten sterker. We doen dat menselijk, betrokken en deskundig — altijd met optimisme en ambitie voor duurzame impact. Want niemand hoeft er alleen voor te staan. Samen met bewoners en partners bouwen we aan gemeenschappen waar iedereen meetelt en mee kan doen.

Over de functie

Als buurtwerker in Amsterdam Noord ben je een vertrouwd gezicht in de wijk. Je bent op straat, ontmoet bewoners in buurtkamers en Huizen van de Wijk en zoekt ook contact met mensen die minder makkelijk aansluiten.

Je luistert, ontdekt wat bewoners belangrijk vinden en helpt hen om zelf stappen te zetten. Van een eerste idee voor een buurtactiviteit tot een bewonersinitiatief dat zelfstandig verder kan: jij brengt mensen bij elkaar en ondersteunt waar dat nodig is.

Je werkt samen met vrijwilligers, beheerders, collega’s uit het jongerenwerk en andere professionals in de wijk. Daarbij gebruiken we de ABCD-benadering: we beginnen bij de talenten, kennis en relaties van bewoners en bouwen daarop voort.

Wat ga je doen

  • Je legt actief contact met bewoners en betrekt hen bij hun buurt.
  • Je verbindt bewoners rond thema’s zoals eenzaamheid, armoede, gezondheid, kansengelijkheid, taal, digitale vaardigheden en werk.
  • Je helpt bewoners om hun talenten in te zetten en ondersteunt nieuwe en bestaande buurtinitiatieven.
  • Je signaleert wat er speelt in de wijk en vertaalt dit samen met bewoners en partners naar concrete acties.
  • Je bouwt aan duurzame samenwerking met vrijwilligers, bewonersgroepen en organisaties.
  • Je ondersteunt bewoners binnen projecten zoals de Lang Leve Thuisflat, Welzijn op Recept en de gezondheidsambassadeurs.
  • Je werkt planmatig en legt afspraken, voortgang en resultaten overzichtelijk vast.

Wie ben jij

Je bent een ervaren sociaal werker die makkelijk aansluiting vindt bij verschillende mensen. Je luistert zonder het direct over te nemen, durft initiatief te tonen en maakt duidelijke afspraken. Je kunt zelfstandig aan de slag en weet wanneer samenwerking nodig is.

Daarnaast:

  • MBO niveau 4 werk- en denkniveau
  • Je beschikt bij voorkeur over een relevante MBO-opleiding binnen het sociaal domein, zoals Sociaal Werk, Maatschappelijke Zorg, Sociaal Maatschappelijk Dienstverlener of een vergelijkbare opleiding.
  • Ervaring in sociaal werk gewenst
  • Netwerkvaardig en proactief
  • Cultuursensitief
  • Flexibiliteit om je werktijden af te stemmen op activiteiten en ontmoetingen in de buurt.

Wat bieden wij jou

  • Een aanstelling voor 32 uur per week
  • Een jaarcontract, met intentie tot verlenging
  • Salaris conform CAO Sociaal Werk, schaal 6: € 2964,00 – € 4426,00 bruto per maand (o.b.v. 36 uur) (inschaling afhankelijk van opleiding en ervaring)
