Als psychiater werk je in een multidisciplinair team en bied je cruciale hulp aan diverse cliënten. Draag bij aan onderzoek, innovatieve behandelingen en beleidsontwikkeling. Samen streven we naar effectieve, persoonlijke en korte behandelingen voor een betere kwaliteit van leven.

Passende zorg voor cliënten

  • Westerpoort is een vervolgkliniek van GGZ inGeest voor volwassenen met langdurige, ernstige psychiatrische aandoeningen (EPA). In een groene en rustige omgeving bieden we herstelgerichte zorg aan cliënten die ondersteuning nodig hebben bij het zetten van een volgende stap.
  • Daarbij kijken we verder dan alleen psychiatrische klachten. Wie is iemand, wat is belangrijk in zijn of haar leven en wat is er nodig om weer zoveel mogelijk regie en zelfstandigheid te ervaren? Samen met de cliënt en diens netwerk werken we toe naar een passende vervolgplek. Dat kan beschermd wonen zijn, (begeleid) zelfstandig wonen of een andere klinische voorziening.
  • Met persoonlijke begeleiding, een gestructureerd weekprogramma en individuele hersteldoelen werken cliënten stap voor stap aan hun toekomst. Er is 24 uur per dag begeleiding aanwezig, waardoor er ruimte is om intensieve zorg te combineren met het oefenen van zelfstandigheid.
  • Je werkt binnen een breed multidisciplinair team. Hierin werken onder andere activiteitenbegeleiders, een physician assistant, psychiaters, artsen, een diëtist, coördinerend verpleegkundigen en begeleiders, een cognitief gedragstherapeutisch medewerker, bewegingsagoog, fysiotherapeut, geestelijk verzorger, huisarts, maatschappelijk werker, persoonlijk begeleiders en trajectbegeleiders samen.

Passende werkomgeving voor jou

  • Als psychiater bij Westerpoort sta je er nooit alleen voor. Je werkt nauw samen met het multidisciplinaire team, verwijzers, cliënten en hun naasten. Vanuit jouw psychiatrische expertise lever je een belangrijke bijdrage aan het behandelbeleid én aan het herstelproces van cliënten.
  • Je stelt behandelplannen op en houdt samen met de andere behandelaren zicht op de voortgang. Ook ben je verantwoordelijk voor het voorschrijven en monitoren van medicatie. De behandeling geef je zoveel mogelijk samen met de cliënt vorm, waarbij je oog houdt voor zowel de psychiatrische problematiek als iemands persoonlijke doelen en mogelijkheden.
  • Bij complexe casuïstiek ben je een belangrijke sparringpartner voor je collega's. Je biedt consultatie en advies en denkt mee over passende behandelstrategieën. Daarbij is er volop ruimte om jouw expertise te delen én gebruik te maken van de kennis van andere disciplines.
  • Ook buiten Westerpoort werk je samen met collega-psychiaters. Binnen GGZ inGeest maak je deel uit van het klinische team van psychiaters, dat regelmatig bij elkaar komt om casuïstiek, behandelingen en ontwikkelingen binnen het vak te bespreken. De psychiaters binnen de klinieken zoeken elkaar gemakkelijk op, delen kennis en nemen waar nodig voor elkaar waar.
