Staff Perfusionist

Strata Critical Recovery (formerly Keystone Perfusion) is seeking an experienced perfusionist to join our collaborative cardiac team at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced perfusionist to grow their career in a supportive, community-focused setting.

Location: In-Person at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center - Chesapeake, VA Compensation: $175,000 - $215,000 depending on experience + $10,000 sign-on bonus Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Days + On-Call Rotation

Your Role Includes:

  • Performing cardiopulmonary bypass and autotransfusion
  • Managing IABP and minimal ECMO support
  • Collaborating with anesthesia, surgery, and nursing teams
  • Upholding best practices in equipment safety, infection control, and patient care
  • Assisting with quality control and departmental development

We average ~120 open heart procedures annually, including CABG and valve surgeries, with no VADs or transplants.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion program
  • ABCP Certified (or eligible)
  • BLS Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to professional growth

Compensation & Benefits:
