Your Mission
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager – Title to help shape and build the technology that powers Stronghold’s title research, ownership analysis, and acquisition workflows.
You’ll bring firsthand experience in oil and gas title to the product development process, translating complex documents, ownership questions, and operational requirements into practical tools that our teams can use every day. Working across Title, Land, Legal, Data Operations, Product, and Engineering, you’ll identify opportunities to improve how title information is collected, interpreted, validated, and applied to investment decisions.
This is the right opportunity for a title professional, ideally a title attorney, who is curious about technology and wants to help build better ways of working. You may already have product management experience, or you may be ready to bring deep industry expertise into a product role. What matters is that you understand the work, can clearly define the problems worth solving, and want to take ownership of turning ideas into useful products.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Own
- Shape the title product roadmap. Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve title research, document management, ownership analysis, and related workflows based on user needs and business impact.
- Turn title expertise into product requirements. Translate complex title concepts, business rules, and exceptions into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that Engineering and Data teams can build against.
- Understand how the work gets done. Partner directly with title attorneys, land professionals, and operational teams to map current processes, uncover bottlenecks, and define more effective workflows.
- Build alongside technical teams. Work with Product, Design, Engineering, and Data to develop, test, and launch tools that address real operational needs.
- Apply technology thoughtfully. Explore opportunities for automation, AI-assisted document processing, and structured data extraction while defining where expert review, traceability, and quality controls are necessary.
- Protect accuracy and context. Ensure products preserve the source documentation, ownership relationships, and nuances needed to support reliable title analysis.
- Own delivery and adoption. Guide initiatives from discovery through rollout, coordinate stakeholder feedback, support user training, and refine products based on how they perform in practice.
- Measure what improves. Define success measures such as turnaround time, accuracy, reduced manual effort, and adoption, then use those results to guide future priorities.
Qualifications – What You Bring
- Direct title industry experience. 10–15 years of title experience, including hands-on work researching, reviewing, or interpreting title documents, chains of title, ownership interests, and related records.
- Oil and gas experience. A working understanding of mineral, royalty, and working interests and how title supports acquisitions and asset ownership.
- A strong interest in technology. You actively look for better tools and processes and are comfortable learning new systems and working closely with technical teams.
- A desire to build. You enjoy taking an unclear problem, breaking it into manageable pieces, and working with others to create a practical solution.
- Clear communication. You can explain title concepts to technical colleagues and translate product decisions into language that business users understand.
- Analytical judgment and attention to detail. You recognize exceptions, ask thoughtful questions, and understand how small discrepancies can affect downstream decisions.
- Ownership and collaboration. You can manage competing priorities, work across functions, and keep initiatives moving in a growing organization.
Preferred Qualifications – What Sets You Apart
- Title attorney experience. A Juris Doctor and experience preparing or reviewing oil and gas title opinions are strongly preferred.
- Product management or product ownership experience. Experience defining requirements, managing a backlog, prioritizing features, or supporting software delivery.
- Experience improving title workflows. A track record of introducing systems, standardizing processes, or reducing manual effort within title or land operations.
- Exposure to title technology and data tools. Familiarity with document management, public-record research platforms, ownership databases, or AI-assisted document analysis.
- Experience working across jurisdictions. An understanding of how differences in records, terminology, and title practices affect workflows and system design.
Why Stronghold
At Stronghold, you’ll have the opportunity to apply your title expertise directly to the products our teams use to research assets, evaluate ownership, and execute acquisitions. You’ll work closely with the people doing the work and the teams building the technology, with meaningful influence over what gets built and how it performs.
We value innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. For someone who understands title and wants to help shape its future through technology, this role offers the opportunity to build tools with a direct connection to the Firm’s investment process.
