The posting

Job description

As a Maintenance Electrician on Afternoon shift (3pm - 11pm), you'll be the difference between a smooth production run and a costly delay. You'll maintain and repair critical production equipment, diagnose faults with precision, and implement smart solutions that keep our operations running at their best. Working within a structured maintenance schedule, you'll bring both technical expertise and quick thinking to a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Flexibility to cover different shifts when required is part of the deal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to minimise disruption to production.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults quickly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate reports on equipment failures and preventative actions taken.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure production deadlines are met.
  • Monitor equipment condition and consult with supervisors to get ahead of potential issues.
  • Adhere to all health and safety policies, helping maintain a safe working environment.
  • Contribute fresh ideas to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Attend meetings and training as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Electrician, ideally with an industrial background.
  • Current practising licence.
  • Experience with PLCs, Analogue/Digital control, and AC/DC motor drive systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and fault-find effectively.
  • Bonus points for familiarity with newspaper presses (Goss manufacture) and publishing/packaging equipment.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of communication protocols (232, 422, Ethernet).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • A genuine commitment to health and safety practices.

Job benefits

If you're a motivated electrician with a keen eye for maintenance excellence, we want to hear from you!

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?
