STV is seeking an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our Project Controls department at our Pompano Beach, FL office. The right candidate will provide on-site leadership and coordination for a major transportation infrastructure program in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. This is a highly visible, client-facing position for a collaborative, solutions-oriented professional who understands project controls and program delivery and can bring people, processes, and information together to support effective decision-making.

The Project Controls Manager will work closely with the client and program team to coordinate activities across scheduling, cost, risk, reporting, document controls, and other project delivery functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a complex program environment, identifying priorities and potential issues, navigating across disciplines to find answers, and driving actions through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and coordination of project controls activities across the program.
  • Serve as a responsive and trusted resource to the client by understanding needs, identifying required information or actions, and coordinating timely solutions.
  • Integrate information across scheduling, cost, risk, reporting, document controls, and related program functions to support effective program management and decision-making.
  • Review project data, KPIs, and performance information to identify trends, potential issues, and areas requiring further analysis.
  • Coordinate with project managers, construction management teams, project controls staff, and technical subject matter experts to investigate issues and develop solutions.
  • Support program scheduling activities, including construction time determinations, schedule analysis and review, and master program scheduling.
  • Support the identification, tracking, organization, and management of contractual and program deliverables.
  • Establish and improve project controls processes to strengthen consistency, accountability, and visibility across the program.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve processes, and leverage technology and automation where appropriate.
  • Maintain awareness of schedule and program risks, including delays, claims, acceleration, and other factors affecting program performance.
  • Help strengthen and mature the project controls organization while maintaining a strong focus on day-to-day client service.

Qualifications

  • 10–15 years of progressively responsible experience in project controls, project management, construction management, program management, or a related infrastructure delivery role.
  • Experience supporting major transportation, infrastructure, or other complex capital programs. Strong working knowledge of project controls principles and the relationships among schedule, cost, risk, reporting, information management, and overall program delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across disciplines, navigate complex organizations, obtain information, resolve issues, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recognize when project information or performance indicators require further investigation.
  • Strong process orientation and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and client-service skills.
  • Ability to translate client and program needs into clear priorities and actionable work.
  • Ability to effectively engage and coordinate technical subject matter experts when specialized expertise is required.
  • Ability and willingness to work in person in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
