Thomas Sales & Service Ford is seeking a skilled Medium Duty Truck Mechanic to join our team in Madras, OR. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium duty trucks to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. If you are detail-oriented and have a passion for truck mechanics, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on medium duty trucks.
  • Maintain and service engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle components.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce future repairs and downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Medium Duty Truck Mechanic or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of medium duty truck systems including engines, brakes, and hydraulics.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
