  • Salary: £26,427 - £26,846 per annum (pro rata), Actual £8,958 - £9,100 per annum, NJC (National Joint Council) Pay scale 3, SP 5 - 6
  • Hours: Part time, 15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Reference: 5645

Felixstowe School is looking for a Science Technician to undertake general preparation for the Science Department.

Key tasks will include:

  • Preparing apparatus and materials required during science lessons.
  • Become familiar with a wide variety of equipment, it’s location and use.
  • Work with chemicals as directed, observing appropriate Health and Safety measures.
  • Measure out materials, carry out simple calculations and make up solutions.
  • Clear away apparatus and materials after lessons.
  • Check, clean, wash-up and put away.
  • Assist in maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Assist with plant and animal husbandry.
  • Assist with stock control, including record keeping and documentation.
