We are seeking an R&D Engineer to join the HV Capacitors Technology team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of cost-competitive capacitor products that deliver best-in-class technology and quality. Innovation is central to Hitachi Energy, and our Technology Centers continuously advance technological boundaries to develop the next generation of products and solutions through a high degree of innovation. How you'll make an impact
- You will develop the next generation High voltage capacitors focusing on the electrical design.
- Lead and/or contribute to R&D projects, Work packages with planning, execution, analyses and documentation in a structured and target-oriented working style
- Build experimental set-ups, conduct tests, and analyze test results, possibly including physical modelling.
- Work with a global R&D team ensuring knowledge sharing, and timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Close collaboration with our Hitachi Energy Research organization and with academia
- Create ideas and proposals for new R&D projects.
- Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other external partners
- Quality issue resolutions
- Document results in the form of technical reports, presentations, IP etc.
Your Background
- Background in Electrical Engineering preferably PhD or MSc
- Ideally 3 Years of working experience in the field of HV capacitors
- Sound analytical skills and experience with planning, conducting and analysis of experiments.
- Openness for new challenges and interest to learn and developTeam spirit with the capacity to work independently complemented by well-developedanalytical skills
- Ability to also work in other technical areas, as for example: materials, insulation systems, thermal management, Multiphysics integration.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Experience in, or ability to develop, project management and technical leadership skills.
- Bonus if you also have working experience of modelling and characterization of HV capacitors and/or other HV devices with solid insulation.
- Swedish and other languages is meritorious
