  • Strengthen regional governance, oversight, and reporting frameworks by providing management reporting to promote accountability, enhance control effectiveness, and maintain alignment with global compliance standards.

Specialized Knowledge / Skills

  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering, sanctions, and financial crime compliance requirements across Asia.
  • Experience with financial crime systems, including customer screening, transaction monitoring, and customer risk assessment platforms.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and system control frameworks.
  • Experience providing independent review and challenge of business unit controls, system enhancements, and remediation activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to coordinate across business, technology, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Ability to produce concise executive reporting, Steering committee materials, risk updates and decision papers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess risks, identify control gaps, and drive corrective actions.

Education & Experience

  • University degree in accounting, finance, law or related business discipline
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in financial crime compliance, risk management, data governance, technology governance, or related control functions within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional projects involving compliance, technology, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial crime systems, data governance, system implementations, or major regulatory remediation initiatives.
  • Practical experience in at least two of the following areas:
  • Financial crime systems or platform implementation
  • AML data feeds and reconciliation
  • Name screening or transaction monitoring
  • Client risk-rating solutions
  • Regulatory or audit remediation
  • Data governance and control design
  • Strong knowledge of anti-money laundering, sanctions, and regulatory requirements within Asia, particularly in the insurance, wealth management, or banking sectors.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent would be an asset.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
