Job Description

Job Summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking experienced Local and licensed electricians to support ongoing and upcoming large-scale electrical projects across the Phoenix Metro. This position is ideal for electricians who take pride in high-quality workmanship, excel in high-volume conduit installation, and are willing to travel to some of the most demanding and rapidly growing data center projects in the country.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain positive and professional working relationships with all members of the project team and crew.

• Produce high-quality electrical work safely, efficiently, and productively at all times.

• Install high volumes of PVC, Rigid, GRC, EMT, and other raceway systems in accordance with project requirements and company standards.

• Build clean, straight, properly supported conduit, and wire systems.

• Perform advanced conduit bending, including offsets, 90s, kicks, saddles, parallel bends, and complex conduit routing.

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, one-lines, drawings, specifications, BIM/VDC layouts, and field layouts.

• Install cable tray, supports, grounding and bonding systems, and electrical equipment.

• Pull and terminate conductors and assist with the installation and connection of electrical distribution equipment.

• Perform electrical installations in accordance with the NEC, project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.

• Work closely with Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, and other trades to coordinate installation activities and maintain project schedules.

• Operate aerial lifts, scissor lifts, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently when qualified.

• Identify potential issues in the field and communicate them to project leadership before they impact safety, quality, or schedule.

• Support, mentor, and train apprentices and less experienced electricians.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly care for tools, equipment, and materials.

• Look for opportunities to improve work processes, means, and methods while remaining open to learning from others.

• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, unnecessary transportation, material storage, and inefficient use of time.

• Follow all project-specific safety, quality, housekeeping, and productivity requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of electrical experience in industrial, data center, or heavy industrial construction.

• Strong conduit installation and bending experience, including large quantities of conduit and complex routing.

• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, one-lines, layouts, and installation details.

• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard electrical construction practices.

• Experience installing electrical equipment, cable tray, grounding systems, raceways, and conductors.

• Ability to work safely and productively at elevated heights and in active construction environments.

• Ability to effectively utilize trade tools, equipment, lifts, and other equipment relevant to the work.

• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a large project team.

• Ability and willingness to travel extensively and work extended project assignments away from home.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

• Must be willing to work varying schedules, including overtime, weekends, and extended shifts when required by the project.

• Must be able to pass project-specific background, drug screening, and site access requirements where applicable.

Physical Requirements

• Work up to a 12-hour shift performing physically demanding electrical construction work in varying temperatures and indoor and outdoor conditions.

• Climb and maintain balance on steel and wood framework, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, and aerial lifts.

• Lift, push, or pull objects up to 80 lbs. on an occasional basis.

• Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, and manipulate tools, materials, and equipment on a frequent basis.

• Work at elevated heights and in confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.

• Frequently reach above shoulder height and below the waist.

• Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.

• Move throughout large construction sites and data center facilities for extended periods of time.

• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, high-visibility safety vest, fall protection, and other project-required PPE.

• Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
