Senior Primary Mathematics Teacher & Subject Lead (PSLE)
Full-Time | Teaching Excellence | Curriculum Development | Academic Leadership
📍 Seashell Academy – Eastpoint Mall, Simei, Singapore
Salary: S$5,000–S$7,500/month (depending on experience) + Performance-Based Incentives
About Seashell Academy
Seashell Academy by Suntown Education Center is a fast-growing, PSLE-focused education centre in Singapore, specialising in Primary Mathematics, Science and Chinese.
We believe that great teachers do more than deliver lessons. They inspire students, build confidence, develop effective learning strategies and create meaningful academic progress.
As Seashell Academy continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Primary Mathematics Teacher & Subject Lead who is ready to take greater ownership of teaching quality, curriculum development, student outcomes and academic team growth.
This is not a purely classroom-based teaching position.
We are looking for an educator who wants to take ownership of a subject, develop better teaching methodologies, mentor fellow teachers and contribute directly to the growth of our Mathematics programme.
Whether you are an experienced PSLE Mathematics teacher or a Senior Teacher ready to progress into academic leadership, we would love to hear from you.
Your Role
You will play a key role in developing and leading our Primary Mathematics programme while continuing to teach students and maintain strong relationships with parents.
Your responsibilities will cover five key areas.
1. PSLE Mathematics Teaching Excellence
- Teach Primary Mathematics (P1–P6), with a strong focus on upper primary and PSLE preparation.
- Deliver engaging, structured lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE Mathematics syllabus.
- Teach PSLE Paper 1 and Paper 2 strategies, problem-solving heuristics and examination techniques.
- Guide students through complex, multi-step and non-routine problem sums.
- Develop students' mathematical reasoning, conceptual understanding, speed and accuracy.
- Identify learning gaps and provide targeted academic interventions.
- Monitor students' progress through assessments, homework and regular performance reviews.
- Maintain high standards of classroom management, student engagement and learning outcomes.
2. Curriculum Development & Academic Leadership
Take ownership of the quality and continuous improvement of our Mathematics curriculum.
- Lead the development and refinement of Primary Mathematics teaching materials.
- Design structured lesson plans, worksheets, assessments and revision programmes.
- Develop effective PSLE problem-solving frameworks and teaching methodologies.
- Review and improve existing curriculum materials based on student performance and teacher feedback.
- Analyse examination questions and identify common learning challenges.
- Ensure consistency in curriculum delivery across Mathematics classes.
- Lead subject-based academic discussions and curriculum review meetings.
- Develop teaching resources that can be standardised and scaled across future Seashell Academy centres.
We highly value teachers who enjoy creating curriculum, not just delivering it.
3. Mathematics Team Leadership & Teacher Development
- Guide and mentor Mathematics teachers within the academic team.
- Conduct lesson observations and provide constructive teaching feedback.
- Share effective teaching strategies, classroom management techniques and best practices.
- Support the onboarding and development of new Mathematics teachers.
- Identify teaching quality gaps and recommend appropriate training.
- Work closely with academic management to improve overall subject performance.
- Help establish consistent teaching standards and a collaborative academic culture.
We believe strong academic leaders should be able to develop other great teachers.
4. Student Learning Plans & Parent Engagement
At Seashell Academy, we believe strong academic outcomes come from close collaboration between teachers, students and parents.
- Develop individualised learning recommendations and improvement plans based on students' academic needs.
- Conduct regular student progress reviews and identify areas requiring additional support.
- Communicate effectively with parents about learning progress, academic challenges and improvement strategies.
- Build strong, professional relationships with students and families.
- Provide clear, practical recommendations to help parents understand their child's learning journey.
- Support parent consultations, academic assessments and trial lesson feedback when required.
Strong parent communication skills are essential for this role.
5. Academic Growth, Student Retention & Enrolment Support
We believe excellent teaching, strong student outcomes and parent trust are the foundations of sustainable academic growth.
As a senior educator, you will contribute to the growth of the Mathematics programme by:
- Supporting Course Consultants during academic consultations and trial lesson follow-ups.
- Providing professional academic recommendations to help parents make informed enrolment decisions.
- Working collaboratively with the enrolment team to improve trial-to-enrolment conversion.
- Building strong parent relationships that support student retention and programme renewals.
- Encouraging positive parent experiences and organic referrals through quality teaching and communication.
- Taking ownership of assigned class development, including student engagement, retention and class-size growth.
- Monitoring class enrolment trends and identifying opportunities to strengthen programme quality and demand.
- Collaborating with academic management and Course Consultants to achieve agreed academic and programme growth targets.
You will be recognised not only for your teaching expertise, but also for your contribution to student outcomes, curriculum quality, team development and programme growth.
