About Reframe Data

Reframe Data Services develops data infrastructure, knowledge graphs, and intelligence products for science, biopharma, and US politics. Reframe Data is the data backbone of AllSci, Legis1, and AllCiv, which commercialize its data through client-facing interfaces and applications. Reframe Data also licenses data directly and provides supporting software and services.

The company seeks its first senior commercial leader to build the data licensing business and develop strategic partnerships in collaboration with the founder.

Products and services include:

  • Political Graph, Science Graph, Biopharma Graph: Connected datasets covering political entities, scientific research, and pharmaceuticals, with stable identifiers and relationship mappings.
  • Ticker Signals: Political and scientific events mapped to public companies and their tickers.
  • Political News and Pharma and Biotech News: Coverage linked to the relevant entities, assets, and companies.
  • Entity Resolution and Change Feeds: Record matching and ongoing updates to identifiers, relationships, and attributes.
  • Allexic and NewsGen: Platforms for ontology management and data-driven news generation.
  • Data Services: Custom data acquisition, management, analysis, and software development programs.

Data is delivered through APIs, bulk datasets, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations. Annual licensing terms reflect internal research, production use, AI applications, and redistribution rights.

Job Overview

The Head of Data Partnerships & Sales is responsible for enterprise sales to data and intelligence platforms, financial information providers, institutional investors, AI companies, publishers, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The role manages the full commercial cycle, from prospect identification and qualification through contract negotiation, renewal, and expansion.

This position combines direct sales execution with commercial leadership. Working with the founder on the first 20–30 priority accounts, the role will establish repeatable sales practices and inform the development of a broader commercial team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue buyers for political, scientific, and pharmaceutical data, knowledge graphs, news, and related platform and service offerings.
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers in data acquisition, product, research, AI, business development, and procurement.
  • Translate customer requirements into defined evaluations, paid pilots, and annual licensing agreements.
  • Lead negotiations covering usage rights, redistribution, AI use, historical data, and expansion.
  • Develop pricing with the team, balancing customer value, delivery requirements, and recurring revenue.
  • Coordinate with technical and domain teams on data samples, coverage, quality, entity resolution, and integration requirements.
  • Manage pipeline development, forecasting, renewals, and account expansion.
  • Translate customer feedback into product recommendations while maintaining alignment with commercial priorities and the product roadmap.

Qualifications

  • Experience selling or commercializing scientific, biopharma, or political data, with an understanding of relevant buyer needs and use cases.
  • An established network of decision-makers among data and intelligence platforms, financial information providers, institutional investors, AI companies, publishers, or pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.
  • Demonstrated success closing six- and seven-figure enterprise data, content, or intelligence licensing agreements.
  • Experience selling API feeds, bulk datasets, knowledge graphs, or OEM and redistribution partnerships.
  • Ability to structure agreements that reflect the commercial value of internal-use, production, redistribution, and AI rights.
  • Experience managing complex buying processes involving product, technical, legal, and procurement teams.
  • Strong prospecting skills and a demonstrated ability to originate and develop a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to discuss data coverage, entity resolution, update frequency, APIs, and integration requirements.
  • Sound commercial judgment in pricing, contract customization, opportunity qualification, and negotiation.
  • Ability to operate independently in an early-stage business and establish effective commercial processes.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
