The posting

Who we're looking for

We're looking for Senior and Staff Software Engineers to join the Agentic Applications team at Supio. You'll build the software behind AI-powered products that legal professionals rely on for high-stakes work, so the code you ship has to be right.

We hire full-stack engineers who've gone deep. You're the person others turn to when a problem gets hard, with a strong backend foundation and the range to work across the rest of the stack. You work autonomously, partner well with product, design, and customers, and take a problem from fuzzy idea to shipped, operating software without waiting to be told what to build. You make good product calls and you leave the code, the system, and the team better than you found them.

We're a small team and the impact is direct. You'll work next to engineers who've built this platform from the ground up, and you'll help shape what we build next.

What you'll build

You'll build and improve the software behind our AI-powered products, wherever your skills are most needed. You'll:

Own problems end to end. Take ambiguous problems from idea to production: design, build, ship, and operate. You'll drive technical direction in your area and contribute to product decisions. Build systems that scale and hold up. Design services, interfaces, and data pipelines that stay reliable at high volume and with large, complex datasets. Work across the stack where it matters. Own work across frontend and backend, with the heaviest lift on the backend. Build with AI, and build AI-powered features. Use coding agents and AI tools to move faster, and help build, evaluate, and productionize LLM- and agent-driven capabilities with a focus on accuracy and reliability. Partner closely with product, design, and customer-facing teams. Understand what our users actually need and turn it into the right technical solution. Raise the bar. Review code thoughtfully, mentor teammates, and build the shared tools and practices that help others move faster. At the Staff level, you'll do this across teams and set technical direction for a broader area.

Qualifications

8+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping and operating production systems. Staff candidates should show a track record of leading complex, cross-team technical work. Full-stack, with depth. Strong software fundamentals and a track record across the stack, with your strongest experience on the backend (services, APIs, data, infrastructure, or systems). You're comfortable owning the frontend too. We don't screen on a specific language. Production AI experience. You've built with LLMs or agentic systems (RAG, tool use, multi-agent orchestration), you know how to evaluate whether they work, and you use AI coding tools every day. Ownership and product judgment. You drive work end to end without hand-holding, make good tradeoffs, and partner well with product, design, and customers. Clear communication, written and in person.

Nice-to-haves Experience at both startups and larger companies Experience mentoring engineers or leading teams Experience with cloud platforms

Compensation

As an early-stage startup, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, meaningful equity, and benefits. Equity grants are designed to ensure employees share in the long-term success and upside of the company.

Base Salary by Level and Location

Senior Software Engineer San Francisco: $190,000 – $240,000 annually Seattle: $180,000 – $230,000 annually

Staff Software Engineer San Francisco: $230,000 – $270,000 annually Seattle: $220,000 – $250,000 annually

This role is open at both the Senior and Staff levels. Final level, and therefore final compensation, is determined during the interview process based on the scope, depth, and impact demonstrated by the candidate. Within each range, placement depends on factors such as qualifications, skills, and experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
